Rituraj Pegu

Rituraj Pegu is a PhD Candidate at the Centre for the Study of Regional Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. As an urban geographer his research centers on people-place relationships, urban informality, spatial inequality, the radicalization of urban space, use of rights-based approach and spatiality as exploratory tools, right to the city and socio-spatial justice in the cities of the Global South. His doctoral work utilizes a multidisciplinary and multi-method framework to understand how regimes of socio-spatial (in)justices are innate to contemporary cities.

Rituraj holds an M.Phil degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, an M.A.(Geography) from Gauhati University, and a B.A. (Geography) from Dibrugarh University.
