Aniruddha Mahajan is a Research Scholar and Student Activist from India. By academic training, he has completed his MPhil in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Gradually he has developed his passion for public policies, global affairs, and its rapidly changing dynamics. Currently, he is studying Public Policy at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Having two years of professional experience, he has also co-founded an NGO that works for quality education among marginalized students. By conducting social researches through this NGO, he has been engaged in developing an effective educational model to accelerate upward educational mobility among the marginalized sections. His research areas also revolve around structural discriminations, caste & gender interactions, and power dynamics. He is looking forward to a comparative study of Indian Dalits and European Gypsies and their social oppression and intergenerational social mobility. Recently he has volunteered for the International Socioeconomic Laboratory as a Principal Investigator.
Writing, reading & debating makes his best expression of him. Particularly in debating, he has been a three times national winner. He has also published his research papers in multiple international journals and also works as a columnist in various local newspapers. Plus he loves exploring diverse cultures & understanding them from an insider perspective by becoming a participant rather than a spectator. He is a recipient of Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar National Research Fellowship in 2018 and also got felicitated by the Indian Government for his public speaking and social service.
