Equality is a fundamental concept that serves as a founding principle for nations across the world. Referring to equal opportunities and rights along with just treatment under any given circumstance, equality allows for us to unite and coexist with one another, fostering a greater society. It is through equality that societies are able to achieve prosperity and make strides in the right direction. However, despite its identity as a core value, it has often failed to be upheld. Several populations experience injustice and mistreatment based on their appearance or beliefs, cultivating a society that encourages a distasteful perspective towards contemporaries. Consequently, the environment produced by the lack of equality hinders the growth of society and leads to the imminent necessity of behavioral change. Civilization must strive to make equality inalienable, for a world that lacks equality is a world that becomes difficult to coexist in.
The goal of ISL is to show the implications of equality and/or the lack of through extensive, non-partisan research. ISL will look to analyze the issues that stem from the aforementioned aspects of equality and strive to find a solution that is amicable by all, whether it be through the examination of previous studies, case studies, and original studies. The research and findings produced by ISL will then be allocated to the Finxerunt Policy Action Institute, where they will be used to create tangible change, most commonly in the form of legislation and policy. In order to reach a wider audience, we plan to incorporate our research and analyses into films to serve as a visualizer for our work; a visual representation allows us to amass a widespread audience and provide a simple to digest version of the research we conduct. Ultimately, we aim to allow for the progression of society to ensure a brighter tomorrow.
